Hot men, gorgeous(and very tall chicks),wonderful and funny photographers, low calories and so much more kept me very occupied this week.
Firstly, I experienced the fantastic benefits of an infra-red sauna session. Reported to increase the body's consumption of upwards of 300 calories in one 30min session. Burning calories whilst sitting on your butt relaxing(after training for the amount of hours I have been, was a welcomed way of getting through the calories that morning that's for sure). I certainly sweated a heap and could feel the effects of the infra-red sauna for a about 40min post session, compared to 15min after a standard sauna. I personally loved the experience and recommend to anyone looking to 'detox' when used in conjunction with a clean nutrition plan and regular exercise and of course drink plenty of filtered water. Far gentler and enjoyable than the usual 'hot-stones' variety sauna, and the good company of a fellow Rokette made the time pass quicker with plenty of catching up on fashion, shoes and things to do and see.
My weekly massage did wonders too, releasing some nasty nerve impingement I have been getting recently, nothing too serious when managed effectively. The perks of training hard. Nick from The Clarendon Clinic does wonders, an accomplished myotherapist, his techniques range from needling, cupping and general tissue manipulation-cant say it is always that great during the session but always a welcomed relief post appointment. Thanks Nick, we love you really...lol....
So, this weekend has seen another drop in calories; fun and games all round, but I am coping well. Perhaps a little vague at times but that is to be expected.
Blush Photography held the Hottest Hunk finals at the Barkley Hotel last night. A fun friday night event, plenty of things going on to keep my depleted brain occupied and lots of stunners both on stage and off....Perry took some awesome photos, which we will post on our website shortly
Saturday has also been very eventful with the final of the Free Contest Preparation seminars being run at Doherty's Gym CITY. The nutrition chat sparked a great deal of questions and thought, we look forward to hearing everyone's progress as competition season rolls around.
Rokettes 2010 had their very first group and individual photo shoot with Perry...check out the results...a stunning group of girls...Figure and Sports-model classes are going to be very exciting this year as all the girls are working their butts off and their posing is looking right on track, well done for all your hard work ladies, it has been so much fun working with you and PRP cant wait to see you all shine on stage.
Farewell to another hectic week as we get closer to contest day in the old U.S of A
So with my momentary drop in calories and ratio's of carb's,fats and proteins changing, my training is frequent,short and endurance style weight training...I must confess I am enjoying ditching the cardio for now, but that will be returning soon enough. In the interim I will, in the absence of cardio be enjoying the scheduled sleep each day, burning the remaining scattering of bodyfat and continuing to prepare for the show.
I look forward to seeing those in Melbourne at the benefit on Saturday 20th Feb 430pm in Docklands....those attending will get the first view of my USA bikini and experience a special performance which I have been working on and is guaranteed to be entertaining. The Burlesque Beauties are also getting ready to excite with their power performance, so this really is a night not to miss. See you at this HOST PREMIER EVENTS evening....
