What a weekend!...Flew into Sydney Saturday morning with Rokette Sue, who was due to compete in the IFBB Australasian Titles the following day, in Masters.
A standard flight other than the fact that I was seated with a couple of guys who looked like did backing vocals for Guns n Roses and had used a bottle of Jack as aftershave...lol...on their way to a bucks in Las Vegas..I have a feeling that they were in for a pretty wild ride...
So to Rockdale Vitamin King..what a store!...All the staff there were so knowledgeable and super friendly, cant wait to head back for the 16th April to hangout there again...so many amazing products too, I have a couple of stacks I am trailing at the moment, so I promise that once I have given them a go you will be the first to know just how I have found them. Especially if you have trouble with sleep quality.
I am so happy to say that my book sales went through the roof this weekend and I am even more excited to announce that should you want your copy you will need to pre-order online or at the store to ensure that you dont miss out.
Sunday was a big show, well over 2500 went through the door and of course many were there to see the Big Guy, Ronnie Coleman. Still massive despite admitting to being 25kg lighter than in previous years, he even confessed to toying with the idea of getting onstage at the IFBB Olympia, in Masters category this year...who knows, be good to see if it happens. Tony Doherty as MC was a noteable and very missed element to the show, no one runs proceedings quite like TD, I am sure everyone will agree.
As for the competitors, great quality on stage and as a judge, this time, it was a pleasure to see so many had really dialled in such great form, a couple of the categories were really tough decisions for all on the panel. To all the participants, no matter where you placed you should all be very, very proud of your hard efforts. The bikini lineup was very extensive and so well presented and performed by the girls. This is going to be a real asset to both spectators, participants and the IFBB as it gives the girls a real chance to experience the competitive journey even if they may not quite be ready for the figure stage just yet. With qualifiers for the prestigious Arnold Fitness Classic being given out too, as well as the chance to turn Bikini-pro down the track, there really is a great opportunity to go far in this division.
Rokette Sue Ussher looked stunning and was in great shape, better than her FitX outing 2 weeks prior (a fuller and tigher package) which secured her a 3rd place. (GO GIRL so PROUD OF YOU!)
Cathy McGee the Masters Champion really took out all on Sunday with not only a title but a very stunning engagement ring and proposal on stage by her man...which she said yes, of course, so congratulations to the happy couple.
So with the Australasians over for another year, it is back to Melbourne and business as usual. The elements for the 8 Week BodyOverhaul Challenge and the integrated BodyOverhaul Camp are being secured as we speak, trainers being inducted ( if you are keen to be a part of this program as a trainer, please let me know asap) and sponsors engaged.
