The finals for the PRO Women were on yesterday and what a pleasure and a thrill to see all the girls on that same stage I had been standing on just hours before and experience the event that is the epitome of what any figure athlete aspires to. The calls were 'interesting' if not a little confusing for the figure girls. Final results placed current Olympia Title holder Nicole Wilkins-Lee with the top accolade. Fitness went to fitness legend, the 'little chica' Adele Garcia-a well deserved and earned win most definitely. Iris Kyle took the body-building title with a wonderful physique against a line-up that was across the board simply amazing. The condition of all the girls was phenomenal. On a high from the evening, I made the final steps to my appearance on the Expo stage for the finals of Figure. All went perfectly, I came in drier and tighter for the finals. However before we got the finals, the morning started with probably the biggest thrill of my trip thus far.
Hair and makeup was an intimate affair with a couple of my newest and closest buddies (lol) Jay Culter, Elaine Goodlad and Monica Brant. Oh and ladies, we have some awesome news:MONICA BRANT IS BRINGING HER F.E.M CAMPS TO MELBOURNE IN MAY 2010....so stay tuned for more details...So to the finals- I placed in the top 6 Figure Class A, I am wrapped with the results considering of all the figure classes, I had the most gruelling lineup of all the classes. The other figure classes Top 10 were automatic entrants into the finals due to numbers. So to be able to say I placed in the Top 6 in the world is an awesome achievement.
...and that was my competition road at the Arnold's signed,sealed and delivered!...Phew!....
The expo was, (now let me choose my words carefully)...wild,unhinging,body-crushing, mayhem....yep that about sums up the vibe. Reports in, place numbers through the doors over the whole weekend being up 40,000 people since last year. Tally stands at 180,000 through the door and this Pocket Rocket felt like all 180,000 were crushing her into the protein stands & industry icons like a psycho-pinball-ride for over 3hours. It was awesome. We met some awesome people...oh and got to see Monica again, plus her sweet hubby, Scott and her camp partner Linda..(so cant wait till this trio hit Oz and bring their Proto- Whey products down under).
