Golds Gym, Santa Monica and Sunset Strip

I love L.A....actually let me be more specific, I love Santa Monica, Venice Beach and the coast of L.A.
We had a wonderful time hanging out at Golds Gym yesterday after a leisurely breakfast at a cafe called Jinky's near the Santa Monica pier, Perry and I took a stroll in the glorious Californian sunshine along the waterfront. I have been blown away by the number of people in L.A that are so very serious about their health and fitness. After the rather shocking and confronting sight's of the average dysmorfic-American-physique that waited us in Las Vegas and Columbus, what we have seen in L.A has come as a welcomed and pleasant sight. The restaurants cater exceptionally well to the health wary and figure cognizant too, certainly a sign of the greater awareness of health and physique here.
Our adventure to Golds Gym did not disappoint either (well the $20per head entry was a bit steep, but hey this place is, as the sign states 'the MECCA of Bodybuilding'). I had to chuckle a little when, as we entered the gym a sign informed us that there was a seminar on the benefits and methods of FUNCTIONAL TRAINING, happening in a few days. So to all my clients and attendees of PRP's 2010 fitness camps,we are proud to be leading you well ahead of the global fitness game. I am proud to see that what we teach at PRP is cutting edge, world leading information.

Sunset Strip by night was a sight to behold-Viper Room and the Roxy were all pumping with cues of people a mile long outside. Seeing the Strip by day however was not such a great thing...it looked seedy and the number of homeless was very sad to see.

We had dinner at the exclusive STK which is a regular haunt of the likes of Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer...sadly, last night they must have been dining elsewhere...so selfish...lol...but the food was spectacular.

So here we are at LAX, waiting to return to Melbourne. Thankfully no more stop overs, just one long flight. Spotting the face-lifts going past is keeping the entertainment factor high also.
I hope that you have enjoyed this series of reports and with the trip coming to its inevitable close, so too, the Rokette Reports for the USA Arnold Event are closing. This has been a wonderful experience; humbling, overwhelming at times, funny and definitely enriching as a competitor, trainer, coach and a chick. So until I see you in the gym, at a fitness camp, seminar or show- stay healthy, happy and above all dream massive dreams, because you WILL have a greater chance of making them come true when you can clearly define what they are.
