Flutter, fly my little butterfly......all called excitement dancing around my ever shrinking stomach. News just in, the official competitors list for the Arnold Amateur Classic has been released to the public and I am proud to announce that Figure Short Class is the largest line up in Figure, with 17 girls in contention. A total of 300 men and women from all over the world will be competing at this years event, so big crowds, big competition, big audiences and thousands of litres of Tan in 4 days.
As the days creep closer I am getting more excited and ready to get on that stage, in fact I am itching to get on that stage. This has been such a long time in the making, a dream I have held dear for 5 years and now with days to go, well you can imagine my excitement. People have asked me, am I nervous about the event? In all honesty I can say absolutely not, with all the preparation and training and dieting and mental preparation I have been doing, I feel so very ready and so keen to get out there with some truly amazing competitors against me, it will be a challenge most definitely. Some of the girls in my line-up have competed multiple times at this event, but, I really feel I have earned the privilege of standing amongst the best in the world and I feel confident I will hold my own.
So we hit the weights hard again over the next few days and up the cardio for a final burst. With my body-fat dropping consistently by a few 100grams everyday I am right on target for my stage weight and the look I know I present best at as a result, which makes me very happy and relieved. There is nothing worse than having to flog yourself silly to hit the target, taking it gentle with no stress is a far more pleasant way to prep for a show....in fact for anything. Planning and preparation is critical and key to your mental focus and therefore enjoyment and success. What will be will be, I know that I am taking my best package thus far to the show and of that I am proud, so folks I am ready for whatever is thrown my way....Lets rumble kiddies!
